about
Dawn is a visual artist and composer. Her work explores the interplay between sound, space and movement, and can take the form of multi-speaker installation, video or live performance. Dawn is interested in the natural resonances of objects and environments, and how sound can convey a sense of aura and presence.
Her most recent works 'Lenses' and 'Carillon' have used small speakers to play sound into wine glasses and cymbals, provoking sympathetic resonance from the objects. These works explore the distinction between sound and voice, and how physical materials respond to specific frequencies of sound.
